Hooray for money!

I guess I should say "Hooray for a job!" Yep, I got the job at the fashion boutique. Do I know anything about fashion? Absolutely not. My dad had me in boys "husky" jeans when I was a little girl and I've not had a lick of a sense of style since. Despite that, I will be the assistant sales manager! Its pretty good pay, better than I've ever had hourly. Plus, HELLO 40% discount, I love you! I start tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. and I'm nervous!

Lieutenant is happy because the weight of having to save money for our move and a new place, furniture, the memory foam mattress I so dearly admire - it was all on his shoulders. This also means that we can get married sooner. Right now we are shooting for February but it is difficult because we are choosing not to live together until he gets his orders. So even if we decided to get married in February, we'd be newlyweds living apart. We are doing it that way because like I said, we're trying to save as much money as possible.

Lieutenant and I have never been conventional, you should all know this now. We have never walked a straight line, in fact we've been kind of crooked and wound up and out. But that is how we like it!

On another note, new followers! It seemed to happen overnight and I love you all! As far as breaking out of my proverbial shell and talking to other girlfriends, fiancees and wives, I am working on it. I'm just such a dang spaz!

  1. Congratulations on the job!!! and I know what it is to be newlyweds living apart I got married in April and didn't come to Korea till Sept. and now I'm going back to Miami in January till July while he is still over here. When he gets his orders to Fort Bragg, NC we'll FINALLY have our own home. For now Korea is sort of just a vacation.

  3. Yay discount! And I hear you about doing things unconventionally, my mom gives me a hard time about it all the time, but it worked for us.
