I'm such a bad blogger!

So sorry to everyone, I have been away for far longer than I had wanted to be. Work has me running around like nobody's business. This last week I worked 6 days straight!

Lieutenant commissions in ONE week! Today we went Christmas shopping for our nieces and nephews and I bought him his double gift (Christmas and commissioning) - an XBOX 360. I know it was a very expensive purchase but I made a lot on my check and had some cash to spare. Besides, he only commissions once and I wanted to get him something that he has drooled over for years.

So besides shopping and working my butt off, I've been getting sick. Well, the whole household is sick. If I didn't mention it before, I moved in with a friend whom I've known since the fourth grade. I did this to save money because other than paying for some household items, rent is free. Free rent is exactly what I need right now and I'm thankful for sweet people like her and my sister in law!

Lieutenant is awaiting a board decision in order to get RPA Pilot. I know, I know, I said I wouldn't mention his job but I am just so excited to share it with all of you. So now we're just sitting...waiting....clenching our teeth. Hope for the best!

Tomorrow (or today rather) marks the military court's decision for the court martial of SPC Arron Hammack, who is being charged with domestic violence against my best friend. I used his name because I want people to know who he is. I want people to understand that he doesn't deserve anonymity. If convicted, he will face jail time, other than honorable discharge, and zero benefits from the Army. Keep your fingers crossed that justice will be served!!

Well I am exhausted. Working again tomorrow and I'm closing, then finals. Ugh. Finals.

  1. i completely agree with you putting the SPC's name out there! any man...especially a soldier who feels the need to hit a woman is not worthy of wearing that uniform! As soldiers we hold an oath, and we follow the creed and values, and domestic violence goes against every one of them!

Also, congrats on your hubby comissioning...that is a big deal! My husband has been in for 11 years, and STILL remembers the day he became an officer. It is a huge honor and achievement, and I hope you are up for the challenge as well:-) I think you will do an amazing job!!
