Lieutenant went to the eye doctor yesterday and was approved to be an RPA pilot! This is some AMAZING news ya'll because we've been waiting a month to hear back from the committee in Texas. He has his final fitness test coming up soon and then his commissioning.
I guess the only downside is that he'll be leaving for ASBC training alone, and then he'll only be in Texas for a couple of months, so it wouldn't be financially smart if I went with him. It is just frustrating...we've been together for what seems like forever, now we're engaged and by the time his ASBC is done with, we should be married. I shouldn't still be rooming with my brother, sister-in-law, their kids, the friends I went to elementary and middle school with AND their friend from high school. Don't get me wrong, their hospitality has been wonderful and I really don't know where I'd be without them, but I am just...ready to be with just Lieutenant in our own home. I just thought I'd be able to get away from this city for a while and dip my feet in other waters...but I guess not for a while.
But despite all that, his dreams and our dreams are coming true and that is what matters right now!

Ahhhh ASBC! :) My husband and I planned our wedding for the weekend after he graduated OTS, and 2 weeks before we found out that he was going to ASBC 2 days after graduation. It was crazy approvals and such for him to be able to come home, quickly get married, and then we went to Alabama together for the remaining 5 weeks. Good ole Maxwell.
