The road.

Lately I've been paying close attention to Lieutenant and he might cringe at me saying this but he's turning into his father! More recently, he's turned into MY father with the things he's been saying to me and everyone else. It's certainly been fun on my end watching him turn from that computer techy kid to a gung-ho Airman. True to that label, he's certainly ready to be a 2nd Lieutenant..the problem is they haven't called him, emailed him, sent him snail mail, etc and it's driving us both insane.

When he said they were taking time to deliberate his medical status I had no idea they'd take their sweet ass time. But as a wise Air Force wife once told me, this is what the military does to you. They make you wait and bite your nails all the way down, pace back in forth, lose sleep...but in the end it all works out.

We're young, in love, healthy for the most part, and staying afloat on bills right now but I can honestly say we're about to be in over our heads. My job cut my hours and Lieutenant isn't working a side job yet because he doesn't want to start and then get the call to leave.

I know he's disappointed because he thought that we'd already know everything and be gone by now. Hell, I'm disappointed too. We just need to keep going on the path that we've chosen despite whether we can find the breadcrumbs we've dropped or not.
