Update on the soldiers!

I have some great news! After my friend sent me the email about all of their stuff being stolen from their conex, her mother and I got together and made a group on Facebook. I am happy to report that many people have come together and over 120 boxes of items have been sent to them! Everything from shaving kits, soap, toothpaste, and bedsheets has been sent and I know that the soldiers are going to be very surprised.

I am overwhelmed with joy and happiness over the kindness that has been shown to the men and women serving overseas right now. Even in our rough economy, people from all over our great nation have come together in support.

If you would like to send a package, you can get a free kit from the United States Post Office.

Each kit contains:

* 2 large priority mail flat-rate boxes
* 2 medium priority mail flat-rate boxes
* 2 medium shirt box priority mail flat-rate boxes
* 6 priority mail labels
* 1 roll priority mail tape
* 6 customs forms and envelopes.

The kit contents change from time to time so you may receive a slightly different configuration than listed above.

Request your FREE Military Care package kit by calling 1-800-610-8734. Select your language (1 is English, 2 is Spanish). Select option 1 (it states it is for Express Mail®, Priority Mail or Global Express Guaranteed® products).

The cost to mail a large flat rate box is $12.50 (up to 70 pounds)!

When you reach a live agent, request CAREKIT04, the "Military Kit." Allow 7-10 days for delivery. You can request up to 4 kits.

You will also be issued a customer ID number to make it easier for you to reorder supplies next time.

As always, thank you all for reading this blog and I hope to hear from you soon!

  2. Me too! Stuff is STILL being sent out so they will have enough to last them a very long time.
